Re: EVGA GTX 9800+ Help
What is the brand, model, and wattage of your power supply? Is this a self-built, custom-built, or store-bought PC?

Re: EVGA GTX 9800+ Help
My first guess would be the power supply. Sunbeam PSUs are poor quality and may be labeled at their peak output, rather than continuous. I would start by replacing it with a unit like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-027-_-Product That will probably allow your computer to start up normally. If not come back because there may be deeper, harder-to-fix problems besides an insufficient power supply.

Re: EVGA GTX 9800+ Help
If it's giving one long beep followed by three short beeps it means the bios can't find a display device.
I think that board is too old to support such a new card , not w/o a bios update , that is if they made one. Not to mention on top of it that power supply isn't good enough as Phædrus said , and the pentium 4 couldn't keep up with a 9500 let alone a 9800gtx.
