Scrambled Display
Hi, I am having problems with my display. The computer will start up fine but immediately (and slowly but surely) the display will start to scramble. As I move the mouse across the screen, it scrambles and keeps changing. If I restart the computer and go into safe mode, the screen is fine and stable. I have done a system restore to a date that I know is well before I started having these problems and then it is good for a while but still ends up scrambling. I have AVG and Avast installed and neither finds a problem. The computer is a couple years old, is a HP desktop and runs XP. Automatic updates is on so I assume it has the latest service pack and updates. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks.

Re: Scrambled Display
you only run one a/virus on the computer or they will conflict with one another
what are you running video card cpu m/board ram power supply brand wattage check the listings in the bios for voltages and temperatures and post them with the auto update have it set for you to check before installing you don't want ms loading it's video driver in the device manager uninstall the video card reboot tapping f8 and choose vga mode when windows finishes rebooting disable a/virus install your drivers reboot the computer
