Roll Eyes what card do i get????

hello....new here....first post so id like to say hello and sorry if im in the wrong place.

right here goes,

i have just bought a pc cheap and it comes with an asus p5q se/r motherboard. with a q6600 core2 quad. now i want to put a decent graphics card in it but dont know where to start.

could you fine folks point me in the right direction from lower end budget right through to top end budget please. is there any special things i should know.

what would you put in it.....???

Some more info is needed , post your budget cap (gpu's can get up to 500 alone easy so were not going to post every single gpu that exists.) Also post which games you plan to play. And also post your power supplies make , model , and wattage. Basically if it's using a generic 300w or something you pretty much won't be using it.

hi thanks for replying.... my psu is a trust 370w so i guess thats coming out then....budget cap is probably gonna be somewhere around £100 to £250. i plan to play call of duty, tomb raider......i dont know i guess ill decide after ive got the pc to run them.....

Well on the less expensive side of the scale you could get a 9600 and a corsair 550w.

Or if we take full advantage of your budget you could get a gtx275 and a corsair 650

However for both of these make sure you have a decent case with enough airflow to support them.

1 question tho'
will this allow me to play cod on my pc by upgrading to the cheaper gpu and psu you suggested.......
