Re: Screen freeze problem on XFX 4890
Thats what I thought , when changeing from nvidia to ati or vise versa you need to use a driver removal program or the two driver will conflict with each other. Use Driver Cleaner and remove anything nvidia or ati and reinstall the ati drivers fresh again.

Re: Screen freeze problem on XFX 4890
I use a couple of Arctic Coolings video card coolers and they work great. Huge temperature drop and they are very quiet. They can be a bit of a pain to install though, make sure it's compatible with your card.
AC lists the Accelero Twin Turbo as working on the 4890, I use this on a 9800GT, even though it's not listed to work on my card, it does. http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalo...ath=2_&mID=101 The Turbo Module you ask about is a fan kit that goes on one of AC's passive coolers. In your case, that would be the Accelero S1 Rev. 2. Turbo Module - http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalo...ath=2_&mID=108 Accelero S1 Rev.2 - http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalo...ath=2_&mID=105

Re: Screen freeze problem on XFX 4890
Another thing you need to keep in mind is the ram sinks, they won't stick to the ram chips, or vrm's, without preparing the chip surface first. They are a tad slick, need to use a pencil eraser or some isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip to get rid of the slickness. Then the ram sinks will stay in place, you don't want them falling off, ram likes to be cool.
