9600GT problems
Hey everyone.
A couple of months ago I built a new PC out of New parts and my graphics card was a gigabyte 9600GT with 512 MB of DDR3 memory. For the first few weeks I could play any game without a problem. MY hardware meets all the system requirements of the games. Then one day it started going all weird in games like it has random spikes coming out of the textures like the game wasn't made properly but this happens on most of my games. Sometimes the games crash as well. I updated the drives on my graphics card and cleaned it and ran my computer with side of the case off and a fan blowing straight onto the card and it desen't matter weather I have the cover on or not it stays at around 40*C. My power supply is 550W I have 3 gigs of DDR3 Ram I have a intel core 2 duo 2.8 Ghz. BTW I have not overclocked my graphics card and with these problems the game run smoothly it's just they have the spike and random textures. This problems also happens on windows 7 build 7100 and windows xp professional service pack 3. I have updated directx. Last edited by benji198; 08-24-2009 at 02:21 AM. |

I don't know where you took the temps from, but if not the bios, then check both temps and voltages in there and report them back.

Re: 9600GT problems
Do check the bios for the temps and voltages to be sure. What model of Antec do you have?

Re: 9600GT problems
I have checked the Bios and the temperature are all between 30*C and 41*C.
Sorry I keep getting my case and power supply mixed up, The company of my power supply is GW power supply and the model is 550SEL. I think the voltages are all normal because I haven't changed any of them in the bios or in easytune 6. Last edited by benji198; 08-24-2009 at 04:57 PM. |

Re: 9600GT problems
You missed the +5, so post that also. I know it is easy to do, so ship it on our way.

Re: 9600GT problems
It does have +5V it just wasn't listed in the bios and the measurement for that is 5.03V. Are these wrong? if they are wrong and they are doing bad stuff for my video card is there a way to fix it.

Re: 9600GT problems
Are you using a sensor program to get the 5v reading?
If so what does it show for the 3 readings under load, while playing a game in windowed mode in windows |
