graphics card messed up
I decided to be stupid and mess with my video card drivers. I uninstalled my other ones and installed omega drivers. Then messed with a few settings and decided I didn't like it so I uninstalled them and reinstalled my regular ATI drivers. Now when ever I play cod4 or any game mostly cod4. I lag. It's not ping lag or fps lag. I get a constant 120-130 ping and play with 70-90 fps all the time. My graphics in my game look as fake as possible like carboard and I don't know what to do. It really bothers me and I have tried several times to fix it. my video card is ATI 2400 hd with 256mb memory. I want to play my game at basic graphics but not this low. Hopefully you guys can help me fix my lag.
thanks for reading. |

Re: graphics card messed up
Boot into Safe Mode & Uninstall all drivers an look for any remnants of the Omega drivers and get rid of them.
Do a fresh download of the drivers from ATI and install them.

Re: graphics card messed up
Ok that only worked for a little bit. The lag is almost completely gone but it still is their. What should I set my settings to so I don't lag.
anti aliasing. on or off adaptive anti aliasing. on or off anisotropic filtering. either use application settings or I can set it by pixels. 2 or 4 or 8 or 16 Disable catalyst A.I. Mip-map detail. Those are all the settings I can change. This is what I currently have my settings at. Anti aliasing is set to aplication settings and I have it set off in the game. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- adaptive anti aliasing off ---------------------------------------------------------------------- anisotropic filtering set to 16x per pixels samples ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Catalyst A.I. is disabled ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mip-map Detail is set to quality ----------------------------------------------------------------------- HERE ALL MY SYSTEM SPECS intel dual core running at 1.80 GHz 2gb of ram running at 1.79 GHz ati 2400 hd graphics card with 256mb I believe thats all you need to know for the settings. |
