Blue lines in dark areas, Nvidia GeForce Go 6600 (w/ pics)

I have an Asus Z71v notebook with an Nvidia GeForce Go 6600 video card. Most of the time when I'm using it, the dark parts of the screen have flickering vertical blue lines. There is a single line near the left edge that never seems to go away. Sometimes I can tip the laptop up and drop it an inch or so, and they go away. It's usually the worst just after it's booted up. When I'm booting Windows, sometimes the entire black background will be blue, except for the logo. I've already tried replacing the LCD, and that didn't change anything. I'm thinking about replacing the video card. Any ideas whether that will fix it? Or is there something else I should try?

Here are some pictures of the problem.

Re: Blue lines in dark areas

Those are called video artifacts and I'd guess that the VRAM on your graphics card has gone bad. So you'll probably need to replace the card if possible, yes. Talk to Asus customer support, they'll help you out.
