Display resolution rarely saves
Hi, I am baffled at this problem I recently encountered.
I am running vista 64bit .sigh. on an acer aspire 8930G. I have a Nvidia GeForce 9600m GT installed. Lately I have come across a persistent problem that has been driving me nuts. I always have my Display Resolution maxed out at * 1680 by 945 pixels *. Now for the past couple weeks my display resolution has been resetting itself to 1280 by 720 pixels. I believe the culprit could be Valve's steam (Counter Strike: source). I am running the resolution maxed out on the games display but it may be at different dimensions. Although, even if I did not run the game, my resolution would still reset. Before it is said. I know my computer is capable of running this resolution because sometimes it would boot up in the correct resolution then the next time it may not. It's like the lottery. So i tried updating my drivers and they appear to be up to date. Can anyone help a poor guy who is sick of setting his resolution almost every time he boots up his laptop :(.

Re: Display resolution rarely saves
Thanks for the help but unfortunately under boot my base video is unchecked leaving that solution invalid :(. I currently just booted up my laptop and the resolution saved. Who knows if it will save the next time i boot it up :/.
.sigh. bump for any other possible solutions
