Re: which graphics card should i get?
The first one (the 9800GT) is a step up from the 9600GT, so I'd say that one. I don't know much about either brand, but I've at least heard of Sparkle before, while I've never heard of Galaxy, so that's another point for the first one, albeit a small one.
I can't recommend a power supply without hearing the rest of your system specs.

Re: which graphics card should i get?
Ok, definitely going to need a new power supply to run a 9800GT. 200 watts won't power any worthwhile graphics card. Hmmm... Are you sure you have a PCIe x16 slot? Do you know what make and model your motherboard is? If not, give us your computer model.

Re: which graphics card should i get?
im sure i have it, i checked, and its a default motherboard for the Dell 531s, and people that have this motherboard say it does have a PCIx16..
also what im afriad of, is that the 9800GT might overheat... Last edited by steven94; 07-11-2009 at 10:40 PM. |

Re: which graphics card should i get?
Replace the PSU with a more suitable one before installing a new graphics card. 200W is definitely not enough for a PCIE card.
Depending on the rest of your specs, you should be looking around the 550W mark.
