no display
Hi there,
Instead of making another thread I thought it would be best to just post in this one since the OP has pretty much the same problem as I do. I had a 9500gt and it worked great for a couple of months, but then one morning......boom no display. I swapped RAM and PSU, but still no display. So I eventually thought my mobo was dead. I had a friend who had a ATI EAH3450 Silent, put it in, and suprise surprise it worked. I have been using it ever since and my PC has worked without a hitch. I was also able to test a 9800gt, but the same problem as before surfaced. I made sure the display adapter was set to PCI-E (when I checked it was at PCI) in the BIOS, but still no effect. I really am not sure what caused this and and why the EAH3450 was able to work. I would like any suggestions. Thank you. Re: no display
Thanks for the response.
Well I could understand for the 9800gt, but the 9500gt uses such a small amount of power in comparison. My PSU even has a six pin connector and when I plug it into the 9800gt the card fan works. I only have one optical drive, a case fan, and 1 hard drive. |

Re: no display
The week before my card stopped working, there were many power outages in my area. Could that have degraded the quality of my PSU to the point where it does not provide the normal amount of power it typically does?
