nvidia geforce 9600 problem with COD4

I installed a nvidia 9600 GT card, updated the driver. When playing COD 4 I get about a half second freeze every 5 or 6 seconds. I have a pentium 3D 3.00GHz processor with 3.25GB of memory and I'm running windows XP.

Re: nvidia geforce 9600 problem with COD4

Have some of the information you've requested. This is a Dell XPS Gen 5 Gaming computer not a laptop. The information is as follows:

Video card is Nvidia 9600GT
CPU - Pentium D
RAM - 4 GB
Pwr Supply - 650 Watts
Not sure how to tell the Wattage, Voltage or Temperatures. Can't find that in the bios for this computer. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Re: nvidia geforce 9600 problem with COD4

take the side off and look at the psu label for the details

see what this gives you for the rest

check the voltage range of the ram and see if you have scope to lift it
