iam going to purchased a graphics card my system conf

motherboard dg41ty
ram kingston 4gb ddr2 800mhz
processor e8400 c2d
iball psu 400w
160 sata hdd

Post your budget and the games or things you need the card to do. Your pretty much not going to be using that power supply.

i was thinking to buy a xfx 9800 gt .my budget is within 140 to 145$ if u have any other suggestion pls let me know

the games i will be playing

and also which psu will be best for running the gpu..

The best power supply would be a quality brand name unit with an 80+ certification and 26 amps on the 12v rail. You pretty much don't want to buy anything that doesn't fit that criteria. It's going to be hard to fit a quality power supply and a decent gpu into 145$ that will perform well , but this should work.

I don't know how graphics intensive GTA4 is, and it also depends on your monitor resolution, but I'd guess high at 1280x800, medium-high at 1440x900, medium at 1680x1050.
