Nvidia 9600 gso Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6GHZ 3GB DDR2 RAM 250GB Hatatci Biostar Mobo feel free to ask for more info as needed Thanks in advance ![]() My Graphics card stared crapping out on me. it would not respond to the moitor occationally. Then I got a Page Fault and then nothing came up no matter how any times i rebooted. so i switched to on board video. it works but Windows 7 wont get any farther in the booting process than the flashy windows logo. I have tried noumerous things, clearing COMS, taking out the Graphics card then putting it back in, start up repair, removing ram sticks Ect. but to no avail. So can anyone help me? Again! it's either graphic totally dead, psu weak and caused problems with graphic card orrrr... yeah, that would be about all what I think on this matter

Re: Page Fault, Blank screen, stuck in Windows 7 boot... God Help ME
alright i made alittle progress in switching my XFX 9600 GSO with my brothers BFG GTS 250. my computer booted with the new graphics card with no problem. Sadly the BFG GTS 250 covers the sata ports so its not possible to see if i have fixed the problem of windows 7 not booting

Re: Page Fault, Blank screen, stuck in Windows 7 boot... God Help ME
Try a right angle connector on the sata cable. The big cards often cover ports. I've got one under the GTX285 with no problems. Still leaves 4 sata ports in the open, the card blocks all of the ports?

Re: Page Fault, Blank screen, stuck in Windows 7 boot... God Help ME
Sounds like the 9600, I'd contact the manufacturer and rma it. The fan spinning on the card is like the green light on the motherboard, means power is getting to the fan, not that everything is good on the card.
Have you tried the card in another computer? That'll let you know.

Interesting quote from jonnyGURU about that psu.
Quote:
Not a good sign. Since your brother seems to be in a lending mood, why not try his psu as well.

yes it does but in combination with the other components they would both run on the quality 550w with the correct amp output

Re: Page Fault, Blank screen, stuck in Windows 7 boot... God Help ME
under power can cause corruption when something requires power that is not there
after fitting he supply you may need to do some fixing

Thanks but I have bad news. I found a rocketfish 700watt psu along with several older PSUs. I tried testing it on my PC and the fans and lights spun for about 1 second then it shut down again this happen for a little bit until i was able to boot up but still nothing on the screen could this be yet another failed PSU or is my CPU and/Or Mobo acting up. I am going to my nebours to ask for a power supply right now... I'll report back soon enough. thanks alot
Just bought an Antec 650watt psu pluged it in and booted. I quickly shut it down in relife to plug all the cables back in and start playing TF2 then on boot nothing.. i boot from the onboard and it works then restarts so im back to where i started aside from noicing 4 cliks from my hdd when i boted fron the onboard viedio... how can i test my mobo? I have been doing my reserch and people have been talking about MBRs. Tere where 2 or 3 virus warnings on my computer before i shut down.. is it really just an MBR? have i over thought this? Re: Page Fault, Blank screen, stuck in Windows 7 boot... God Help ME
if it was the mbr you would get a message on screen
start from square one make sure you have the aux power plug plugged into the m/b boot from the onboard in the device manager disable the onboard if the card is listed uninstall it turn the computer off install the card change the video cable from the onboard to the card reboot into the bios check to see if you can disable the onboard in there and set it to detect pcie first save and exit the bios tapping f8 and choose low resolution mode when windows finishes booting disable a/virus install your drivers for the card reboot the computer if no good set it up out of the case on a piece of cardboard with cpu video ram speaker and see if you get post check you have the correct amount of standoffs no more no less that they line up with the holes in the m/board usually 9 what model antec we no longer recommend antec psu's
