Windows 7 Monitor Issue
I just installed Windows 7 and I'm having a bit of a problem with my Samsung SyncMaster 2043swx. When my computer begins to start up, it displays the BIOS screen and the Windows loading screen just fine, but as soon as Windows makes the transition into the desktop, it starts to report no signal. The blue button on the bottom right starts flashing and Analog/Digital start going back and forth in the top left hand corner. Prior to wiping Vista and XP off this computer, the monitor worked fine. Worked fine during the Windows 7 installation as well.
My graphics card is a GeForce 9800 GT. I have an old COMPAQ FP5315 hooked up to the computer right now through an analog to DVI adapter and that seems to work fine, but I'd rather use my nice monitor as opposed to this old crappy one. =\ The graphics card driver is up to date, the monitor driver is up to date, just when Windows 7 is at the desktop, it will not display. I've messed around with settings, refresh rates, resolutions, it won't display at all. I tested it on my girlfriend's computer running Vista and it worked fine and an old computer running XP and it works fine. Any help at all is appreciated. |
