Cry Life

I have a problem with my card. You see i have two comps, one for work and my personal pc. the one that with the card problems is the personal one.

I am VERY comfortable with XP, to the point i fear VISTA (my therapist says its a problem from my childhood) anyway ... my work computer has vista so the only thing i now is that its powerfull (1500, it had better be!!) so i dont know anything apart from its ram and cpu which are 3.9gb ram and 2 ghz duo core (whaterver ???) ohh and graphics card saying GeForce 9800 gxt (i on't know if it's good or bad ) yet with all those overblown statistics, i can't even play games like little fighter 2 or old ps1 games!!!!

so thats why i turned to my trusty, rusty, bucket of bolts to do the trick and it did for a long, long time but recently i have had card problems(duh).

i wanted to replay ff7 which i got working and on the 2nd cd it starts furiously blinking black so i switched off the computer but when i turned it back on, it still had the blinking problem.so i removed the card and i am using the card thats intergrated into the mother board.(the intergrated one makes ff7 lag when your not on the world map)

i have tried tweaking the way its fitted on and it gets worse

i dont think its a driver problem cause i have only used the drivers it came with the entire time.

my new comp is so advanced that kaspersky 7 does'nt work anymore only 8 (seriously!!!) so it refused to install ff7 let alone play it.

The dirt buckets stats

CPU:intel celeron cpu with 3.06 ghz
RAM: ddr1 (2 sticks) 1-1.0GB 2-256MB
STORAGE: 200gb
VIDEO CARD: Nvidia geforce fx 5500
DRIVERS:unsure but under 100
DISPLAY:syncmaster 732nw
DX:9c

IMO the 5500 is better than the 9800 which has all these shiny buttons and features. i just want my old graphics card back to normal. i finiishe elder scrolls morrowind with it, i played ff7 through to ff11 (but not ff8, it sucks).
i really don't know how to stop the blinking.

Please Help Me
I Will Really Appreciate the HELP
