Nvidia Riva Tnt2 Model 64 Agp Card Peoblem

I recently insatalled a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 MODEL 64 AGP CARD to my Old Mobo ( BXE98-ATX) which has a PIII 550Mhz cpu, I use WIN98 SE , My problem is that though my comp installs the driver for this card , the display is not proper i.e when I go to diplay settings to change the resolution it shows only 16 colors, 256 colors and High color 16 bit but when i chooose high color 16bit and the resolution to 800 x 600 it does not accept and goes to 256, obviously the display is not good, as I cannot use high color, forget about AGP. Please HelP!!

PS: I tried many drivers, but to no avail, I dont think driver is a problem, if U think it is then pls suggest me one which I can USE.

in the device manager uninstall the card
reboot into safe mode
when windows finishes installing the card,if it asks if you want to install the drivers
select no
disable a/virus
install your drivers
reboot the computer
any version of the drivers should work with no problem
