Hello there.
I've always wanted to post about this on a forum somewhere and finally I'm doing so. It seems to me that my PC hardware, especially my video card slows down after months of using it. When I first bought my laptop which has a GeForce 9200M, I was getting 60+ FPS on CoD4 with medium settings. Now, after 8 months of use of my laptop, I only get about 30 FPS on low settings. I don't understand this. I tried formatting my laptop just in case if I had something running thats taking up performance but formatting didn't fix this. I didn't think it would since I take care of my PC very much to make sure it doesn't get viruses or anything. This has also happened to my old Dell desktop which had a Radeon 9600 Pro, when I first upgraded my old Dell by buying it the Radeon 9600 Pro, I got good FPS with games back then, but after a year of using the card, I noticed a performance decrease. ![]() Now, I'm buying/building a new desktop PC which is a quad core processor, 4GB RAM, and a GeForce 9800 GT. I would very much appreciate any discussion about this so I can find out why my laptop and my old desktop has been doing this cause I don't want this to happen to my new PC. Please help me out guys. It would be great. Btw, I keep my video card drivers updated and I have always left my PCs on 24/7 as to I hate booting up my PC cause I hate waiting. Just thought this info would help. |
