[SOLVED] Need a New Video Card!

I need to know what video card will be best for me.

I am playing Demigod and Company of Heroes but I have to run on minimum settings and they still struggle at times. I believe it is my video card because while running the game my cpu and Ram are not near their full capacities.

I would like something a little less expensive. I want to stay around $100 dollars I can go up to $200 if absolutely needed. Below are my specs.

- ASUS M2N68-AM SE2 Motherboard
- AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core 2.71 GHz
- 3 GB RAM
- Currently running a NVIDIA GeForce 7300SE/7200GS

Let me know if you need more info or think the problem is elsewhere. Thanks!!

Re: Need a New Video Card!

You didnt mention your power supply, which is of great importance
when upgrading a video card..You can buy a decent vid card but if
your psu is not strong enough, all will be for not....

Re: Need a New Video Card!

Yep, The vid card you choose will dictate what wattage of psu you
need....Dont buy cheap! Get a corsair, or a seasonic. Minimum 550watt.

Re: Need a New Video Card!

Ok after I upgrade that power supply what video card should I get? How do I know what my motherboard can support?

I heard good things about the NVIDIA Geforce 8600GT. Also it is SLI so I can have two. Would one be enough for my computer or should I get the second? It is inexpensive and gets great reviews.

Re: Need a New Video Card!

Get a 750watt corsair psu, and a 9800gtx vid card. Sli is over rated
imo...
