Monitor Text Clarity

Is there something I can do to make the text on my monitor look sharper? I've tweaked with the monitor's brightness/contrast, and I've installed and used Microsoft's ClearType. I use my Intel motherboard's onboard GMA X3000 -- perhaps I should get a better video card? Monitor is HP w2338h 23", VGA cord (same problem happened with my Acer monitor, also 23").

Are you running it at it's native res of 1920x1080?

Yes, 1920 x 1080, 60 Hz.

Have you tried just making the text bigger in the windows display settings?
