Which is really better 9600/9800
System
Dell Dimensions 4700 Specs http://www.webmadeeasy.net/ComputerDocs/Dell/Dimension/4700/ServiceManual/specs.htm P4 2.8 RAM 4GB 533MHz I am looking at the differeneces between the 9600 9800 GT Geforce cards. So far as i can tell they are both good, i thought id ask the experts if the 9800 is worth that extra $20, Also do MSI and BFG Tech make good products. Thanks |

Re: Which is really better 9600/9800
If your only using a single pentium 4 and the stock dell power supply that this machine came with you should be looking at lower end cards. A pentium 4 will just bog down and hold back a 9600 or 9800. That and pci-e 2.0 support isn't very good in old machines , especially oem's like dell. Your machine would be more geared toward and 8500 or 8600.
