Re: cant start computerr
The computer beeps or the monitor? Beeps would seem to indicate a hardware issue. Open the case, and reseat all cables and cards. It's possible something is just loose. You can test the monitor for operation on another PC.

Hi mkc299 and welcome to TSF !

It's hardware not software so I'll move your thread to the hardware support section. What are your complete system specs ? As already said open the computer box, recheck all the cables and check that all the fans are spinning. Does anything show on the screen ? One single beep usually means a problem with the video card, either it's not hooked properly or it's underpowered. Reseat the video card in its slot, if it needs a secondary power plug make sure it's plugged in, check that the fan is spinning when the power is on and check the cable between the video card and the monitor is hooked properly. When you provide your system specs don't forget the brand, model and wattage of the power supply. If you can get the screen to stay on enter the BIOS at startup (look for some "press xx to enter setup" message, on custom built rigs it's usually del), look for the hardware monitor or pc health status screen and report your temps, fan speeds and voltage (+3.3 +5 and +12V) |
