Adjust Screen Resolution
I have dual video cards - one for a monitor and one that is split to two projectors. This all works wonderfully and has for years. I was donated an older monitor (Dell E152FPg) recently and wanted to split the secondary video output again so that the second monitor would display exactly what was on the projectors. I had to lower the screen resolution to be compatible with my "new" monitor, but once I did, everything worked perfectly. Until yesterday... The screen resolution has reverted back to 1280x1024 which is too high for my monitor. Everytime I try to lower the screen resolution, it immediately reverts back to 1280x1024. That's immediately, not when I reboot, but immediately. For kicks I tried to adjust the resolution on my primary monitor and the same thing happens. What would cause it to do that? HELP!!!
(By the way... please don't just suggest that I get a new monitor. I realize that would fix the problem temporarily, but it doesn't change the fact that I can't adjust the resolution!) |
