Grin video card help

Hi everybody. This is my first post. I have an onboard video and it is an ati radeon hd 3300 and i wanna upgrade it so would it be better for me to go with another ati or a geforce. what would be better? I am thinking of either a geforce 9800 or an ati 4850. Any help would be great.

Depends on what brand you like or trust most, but right now the 4850 is considered the bang for the buck right now. But instead of looking at the 9800gtx+(which compares to the 4850), it is now rebranded to gts250.
