Graphics card profile?

How can I tell if a graphics card will fit inside a slim type of computer case like a dell optiplex 745? Without just buying it and hoping it fits of course lol.

Re: Graphics card profile?

Hello,

You can measure inside the case where the card will go and then get the dimension of the

card you are looking to upgrade. You will need a low profile card in order to fit that case.

From your current nvidia 9600GTS and going to another slim card you are not upgrading at all. You should be looking into getting a new case to fit a bigger card and probably a better PSU since BFG don't make quality PSU's

Re: Graphics card profile?

I downgraded to this smaller tower on purpose to save space and Im not trying to build another gaming PC I just want something that can do whatever I want. I already have an adequate processor and ram I just need a good graphics card to finish off what I want it to be.

Re: Graphics card profile?

I must have been looking at somebody's other system for some reason, sorry about that last comment.

With a celeron CPU you probably shouldn't go higher than 9500GT.

Whats your motherboard and PSU - make and models

Re: Graphics card profile?

With a celeron a 9400 would be almost too much.
