Monitor in power saving but pc is on

Hi guys,

I have a LG W1934S which enters power saving mode at randomic intervals. It only wakes up whenever "he" wants.

Although the monitor is off, the pc is on, for I can hear the noise of the disk and the red led continues to flash.
I was not able to identify what causes this, but have upgraded monitor drivers, the graphics card drivers and programmes, BIOS and so on. I couldn't update the latest Nvidia drivers, release 185, because I get a message "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit." I did as suggested in the Nvidia FAQ, but still not able as I got a similar msg.

I also intalled NVIDIA nvProfile, NVIDIA System Monitor, NVIDIA PhysX Properties, Performance Monitor and System update, in an atempt to find some erros. :

Below is a text with some info generated by NVidia control Pannel which I think will give the info you need to find an answer.

Re: Monitor in power saving but pc is on

Check your power supply for model number, as well as the output (in amps) for the +3.3, +5, and +12volt rails.

Did a quick search and found a 420watt seventeam psu, sure hope this isn't what you are using.
