Video Card Jerky?

Hello all,

Well, I bought a laptop last summer. Its not primarily being used for games, but I do periodically like to play the odd one.

I currently have a nVidia GeForce GO-FX 5200 64mb video card in there. No games play right though. They are all very jerky, and slow. Even counterstrike does not run right on it. It is not my internet connection either, since it works fine on my brothers desktop with a GeForce 2.

Im pretty smart in computers, so I can go into the bios, or play around with system files if needed. I just cant figure this one out though.

Thanks a bunch guys!
Nicholas

Well you are good with computers so you have most likely installed new drivers for it right?

You could try: THIS ONE that is the newest geforce driver, assuming you don't already have it.

You might also check to see how much system memory you have. If you have less than 512 and are running windows xp this might be your limiting factor.
