Hi everyone
, this is my first post on this site. I am looking to run dual monitors and I have researched the idea a bit, but I am still not sure whether it is possible with the video card that I have. I am running a brand new Acer with a NVIDIA GeForce 8200 graphics chip, it is not set up for dual video, having only 1 connector, but I have found a DMS 59 Dual VGA Splitter cable. http://www.cablesandkits.com/dell-dm...38-p-1395.html I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this would properly work with the video card that I have, or will I still have to buy a duel connecting video card. Also If it does work, can anyone tell me where I might could find a longer cable than 8 inches, like 18 would probably work. Thanks in advance.

Re: Dual Monitor ? for NVIDIA 8200
It will make a second monitor show the exact same thing as the first, probably not what you want. You would be better served with a 8400GT or 9400GT card they are both dual ramdac cards and will support Extended and Cloned desktops.

Re: Dual Monitor ? for NVIDIA 8200
Thanks very much, guys, for the info, very helpful. Actually, I am looking to have both screens show the same display. Its for business purposes, I want the customer to be able to see exactly what I am seeing, so there is no discrepancy in the price that I give them. Do any of you know where to find a cord that is longer than 8 inches or what I might need to do to make a way to have one longer than 8 inches without having to splice wires myself. Thanks, again.
