Hey guys.

Hopefully some one can help me.

just bought a second xfx 9800gtx+ card and wanted to drive them in sli mode.
But that dident work i have no experiance whit this sli or crosfire things so i just ask.

Are crosfire for intel chipset and sli for amd???

this is my computer:

Asus Commando motherboard
850w power supply
8 gb crosair 8500 ram
2,6 ghz quad core CPU
2 hdd on 1,5 TB
2 xfx 9800gtx+ grafik cards.

The thing is my computer works perfec whit everything except 1 grafik card.

when i input the second grafik card and input 2 6 pins power cables and the sli bridge it dosen work.

I start the computer coming to when the loading screen 4 vista then it just auto restarts i dunno what i can do or must do????

And sry 4 my bad english :D (i am from norway)

The Commando is a P965 Intel chipset it will only run Xfire(2 ATI cards) to run SLI you would need an Nvidia Chipset motherboard for a socket 775 .

So its not possible for me to driv it on sli on my computer???

ok So Intel chipset is = Crosfire = ATI

and amd = SLI = geforce?

Intel chipset = Intel CPU and Xfire until you get to the new LGA1366 X58 i7 CPU socket.
AMD chipset = AMD CPU and Xfire.
Nvidia Chipset = can be for either AMD or Intel CPU's(depending on the socket) and SLI.
Nvidia is the buggiest of the 3. and for what it costs in larger power supplies and 2 cards a single more powerful card will offer better performance, instead of 2 9800GT's a single GTX260 or GTX275 will out perform them with a lot less hassle.
