Off Screen Issue
Hi all - please bear with me, I'm not desperately PC literate
![]() I've got an nvidia fx 5200 - pretty old I know, but times are hard! I've recently updated the drivers as I was getting some problems with 3d images on some software - the update has resolved that, but now when I launch a game the bottom half is visible at the top of the screen and the top half has disappeared off the top. I've searched dozens of forums to try and get a solution but they all seem to cover dual monitors, which I'm not set up for. Anyone got any ideas? Many thanks in advance

Re: Off Screen Issue
Hi, welcome to TSF
Have you tried using the monitor's buttons to move the screen position down? Are your games set to use the monitor's native resolution? If it's an LCD monitor, is the refresh rate set to 60Hz?

Re: Off Screen Issue
Hi mate - many thanks for the reply - using the monitor button to move it down doesn't work - however, the auto button seems to resolve it for most software - I'm happy with that for now - will stump up the cash for a new one as soon as I can, but I've found others with this issue since looking for help - I'm sure they'd love a response :D
Refresh rate is set to 60. Games are hardware (card) driven I think - will check. On starting up my pc everything is half off screen...then windows loads and it all looks fine..... then I launch software and bam, off screen again. As I say, I'll work with what I've got till payday and I'll suggest others post here for help. Many thanks for responding, appreciate the help :) |
