Pixel Shader
I need to get Pixel Shader 1.1 or higher to run a certain program on my PC.
I currently have a Windows XP OS, and my current video controller is an Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV (Is that the same as a graphics card? If not, how do I find out what graphics card I have?) My current graphics card does not have the necessary Pixel Shader 1.1. Where can I get said Pixel Shader, and what graphics card (if not mine) can support it? I know very little about computer hardware, and I'd prefer to spend as little money as possible (if any) to get this to work. Can anyone help me out? |

Re: Pixel Shader
Yes that is what we need the 2400 only has PCI expansion slots no AGP or PCIe so your choices are very limited.
Something like this will give you the pixel shader needed but because it on the pci interface it is more costly> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814187041 http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...m_en/specs.htm |

Re: Pixel Shader
Here is a handy web site to use when you want to see if a game will run on your PC > http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
Go to the site and let it analyze your computer the first tab is the minimum the second tab is the recommended requirements. With the video card upgrade you will meet the minimum but not the recommended requirements usually game play at the minimum level is not good. Because you only have PCI slots to upgrade with the cards that will run the newer games are more costly then the same model in a PCIe x16 format because there are fewer made. |
