GeForce4 MX4000 Overclocking Help
I have a VIA KT266 (A7V266) MB with a Athlon 2400XP+ . I just added the MX4000 GPU and have overclocking enabled. Right now, the only heatsink inside the CPU is the one on the processor, so if I want to overclock the GPU, do I need to installl a heatsink or is it fine even if I dont install the heatsink (assuming that I will overclock the frequencies only by upto around 10-15 MHZ)
If I should not overclock at all without a heatsink, can anyone specify a good one, which would fit the GPU, and also, not be too hard on my pocket? (I guess the worst part would be looking for it in India!) Also, how risky is it to overclock the card, and upto howmuch should I maximum overclock without damaging the card? Right now it says the core clock frequency is 275 MHz and Memory Frequency is 286 MHZ. On the pack it says RAMDAC 350 MHZ. What is that? Does it mean I can increase the frequency upto 350 MHz without any problems? All help is greatly appreciated. |
