Can't select correct resolution.

OS: Windows XP Pro SP2
Graphics Card: NVidia GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X
Monitor: Acer AL2216W

My parents just bought a new monitor. The monitor can have a resolution of 1680x1050. But, when I go into the control panel, the highest option I get is 1600x1024. How do I set the resolution to 1680x1050?

Does that video card support that resolution?

That card probably doesn't support it. The geforce 4 came out well before many people actually had lcd or widescreen monitors.

It would be in the documentation that came with it.

Most of the time a gpu won't have every single resolution it supports listed in it's manual , simply because even a geforce 4 supports to many to mention. The info is usually online.
