Splitting VGA to different resolutions

Hi,

I want to have this setup:

Mac--->VGA out---> VGA splitter

There will be a matrox splitter behind the VGA splitter with a stretched resolution of 2048×768@60Hz

The other VGA output of the splitter needs to go to a beamer.

I do not know if the beamer supports the stretched resolution. Is it possible to have different resolutions after the splitter? I assume they will be the same, but I am not sure.

Thanks for any help.

Re: Splitting VGA to different resolutions

No , when you split a signal the output is always the same resolution.
