Geforce Ti4200 display problems
mate of mine has got a geforce ti4200 128mb graphics card, and is having display problems with it on a game called americas army,
his spec: p4 1.8ghz 384mb sd ram 80gb hard drive he has the latest drivers from nvidia still problems, here is a screenshot showing the probs, he played before he had the latest drivers and it was worse he has also had problems with half life 2 and call of duty ![]() anyone got any ideas, Last edited by chris998; 02-03-2005 at 03:31 PM. |

Your image seems to show missing textures which is usually a driver problem and not hardware. A ti4200 is kind of an old board. Sometimes older boards don't work so well with newer drivers. You might try testing the various drivers in NVIDIAs driver archive. I've seen plenty of instances of people with older NVIDIA boards (admittedly usually GeForce 2's) who find that the newest drivers don't work very well and that there is some specific older driver which works properly. You can only find the right driver by testing them out one at a time.
On the other hand, his hardware might just be flaky. You might try underclocking the board and the AGP slot using powerstrip. If slowing things down fixes the problem then it's bad hardware. |
