GeForce 9500GT not working on...
Hi everyone, this is my first time here... so excuse me if this is the wrong place. Here I go:
My PC: Motherboard: Intel D915GAV Micro: P4, 3Ghz RAM: 1GB DDR 400 VGA: ATI x300 128mb PCI-e Power Supply: CODEGEN 450W (orange) Recently I bought a XFX GeForce 9500GT 512MB DDR3... and here comes the problem: Once I uninstall the ATI and switch to the GeForce... the coolers starts but the system seems not to boot, the monitor goes in stand by mode.. and nothing else happens. I've tried many many things wihout getting any result. However, If I switch cards again.. the ATI works (need to install drivers again... but it works) I know about the PCI-e 1 and PCI-e 2 "vice versa" relation, so I think that's not the problem... neither de Power Supply, it seems OK. Any idea? |

Re: GeForce 9500GT not working on...
My first thought is the power supply. Not the greatest. 1 12volt rail@
16amps, not good. Then figure in the 70% or less efficiency. You need at least 24amps on the 12volt rail/s. You should be around 550watt or better yet 650watt corsair to run that machine with that card.
