GTX295 probs :upset:

I mounted gtx295 and installed its drivers as guided. When i put driver cd in several windows opened, some of them closed automatically, blinking windows all over the desktop. It was quite a mess. After installation/reboot my computer freezed, just a black screen. After second reboot i got bluescreen. Then I finally i got it somewhat working, but on test round with Wolf ET i got barely 70 FPS and the game was quite a jerky. I tried drivers from cd and newer updates. Nothing helped. Farcry2 didnt even start. Now i made test round with Windows7 with nVidia Win7 beta drivers. Same problems still. Previous OS was XP Pro sp3.

I have read several threads but didnt find exact solutions. This pisses me off big time.

Pls would u help me or post some usefull links?

Thanks for advance.

Re: GTX295 probs :upset:

did you uninstall the old card and then reboot before installing the new drivers?
could be a power issues too maybe.

Re: GTX295 probs :upset:

Yes. I did it like this:

1. uninstalling the drivers
2. shut off the computer
3. old card out, new in
4. computer on
5. installing new drivers

Do u mean some powerfailure, such as bad connection on motherboard or psu problem? I have Corsait TX850 so it's enough for gtx295.
