6600 gt

my motherboard only supports 4x, most cards i looked at were 8x/4x but the 6600 gt is only listed as 8x....

if i use the 6600gt in my motherboard will it work even though the voltages are different or was it just a typo that it was listed as 8x only????

It will work, and performance of it will be maximum 5% lower.

My motherboard is 4x and my 6600gt works flawlessly in it.
