Your choices of PCI video boards are EXTREMELY limited. If you're trying to get something which can play recent games you need a decent DirectX9 board and they are not easy to find for PCI slots.
Newegg has a GeForce FX5700LE with 128 bit memory (apparently) at http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...140-041&depa=0. I also found an FX5600 at http://www.amamax.com/amamax/ge56pciwddrd.html which ain't half bad. Before getting anything you need to check that your machine allows you to add a PCI video board. You need to check in the BIOS that you can set the primary video adapter to PCI or disable the onboard video. If you can't do either of those then adding a video board may be really difficult. |
