NVIDIA GeForce 4000 MX Limited FPS in CSCZ

I have a NVIDIA GeForce MX 4000 (and not 400) graphics card, and have WinXP Pro and Win2K Pro dual installed on my computer. When I play Counter-strike condition zero with WinXP, it gives me FPS around 60-70, (The refresh rate i 75 Hz, my monitor doesnt support higher rates) but when I am playing the same game in Win2K, I get only around 37 FPS (It locks at that value), can anyone tell me why this is happening? All help will be appreciated.

im not sure why it does that but try to change some settings like in console: cl_updaterate 15, rate 9999, fps_max 100, that might give you some more. Is the win 2k installed on the same mashine or on a different one ? what mode are you playign in d3d ogl or software ? is directx 9 installed right ? are the videocard drivers brandnew ? ...

Yeah i have had this issue on some games before, something you could try is disabling vertical sync on your video card drivers on the Operating System that is locking it. Give that a try. Otherwise try the commands the person above me said :-D
