GTX 280 - does it have HDMI?

I recently upgraded my PC, which includes a GTX 280, and I have now decided it is about time to upgrade my monitor. However, I'm only familiar with the old DVI connectors - which I've been told is out-dated, and the GTX 280 can support better.

What does it support? And what do I have to look for in a monitor to be sure of compatibility?

Thank you.

I'm pretty sure using adapters the card supports hdmi and vga monitors as well as dvi. Although I am not sure where you heard that dvi is outdated. Vga is outdated.

Re: GTX 280 - does it have HDMI?

Oh, sorry, I meant VGA.

So what would I need to look for in a monitor to be sure that it works?
Thanks.

Re: GTX 280 - does it have HDMI?

If your looking at computer monitors and not any type of tv then the gtx 280 should support any monitor so long as it has a vga , dvi , or hdmi hookup. In todays age I would get a monitor that is 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 or higher.

Would that one work? It's DVI-D, I believe.

You need to use a DVI to HDMI adaptor to use a HDMI lead into the TV / Monitor.

Thats what im using.

It'll work but it is only 1680x1050. Try to get one that is 1920x1080 or higher to really future proof yourself with HD.

I don't think I can. The one I was looking at was 22 inches, I believe. The next model up is 24 inches, and is DOUBLE the cost. I only have £200 to spend.

My 22" LG flatron is 1680x1050 or something like that and was $300.
