replacing new agp card
got a new ge force 7800GS to update my old video card geforce 400mx.how can i do it?its say i need to uninstall the old driver card. will my monitor still work after i uninstall the driver.

Download the latest driver bt do not install it yet.
Use driver cleaner to uninstall all traces of any old drivers (ATI and nVidia) Shutdown. Install the new card. Restart in safe mode. Install the new driver. Restart normallly.

you can use the cd
follow the instructions and you will get a screen to see what you are doing in the device manager uninstall the video card reboot tapping f8 and choose vga mode when windows finishes rebooting disable a/virus install your drivers reboot the computer

are you tapping as soon as you press the start button and continuing to tap
make sure the card is seated ok what m/board do you have
