Re: 4870 or gtx 260?
Yea It should. That cooler on that saphire does look very good , xfx I have heard is good and has a lifetime warranty. Not only that but the 4870 is good with 1gb of vram , 2 isn't really going to make a difference.

Re: 4870 or gtx 260?
No it will not make to much difference. The 4870 is a very good gpu and is capable of fully handleing 1gb of ram , which is plenty for crysis at 1920x1200. However , with most graphics cards , adding to much ram will not improve it's gaming performance. Somtimes it even lowers it. It will still be using the same 4870 gpu , so adding more ram and upping the resolution won't make the actual gpu any faster. Currently for any game 512mb to 1gb is more then enough gpu ram.

Re: 4870 or gtx 260?
The efficacy of Vram will depend on the game and the resolution used. It will also depend on the memory interface. The 4870 is by far better.

Re: 4870 or gtx 260?
you may find problems with this when you upgrade as they overstate their capabilities
