Problem with resolution
I was watching a video in Windows Media player and while watching I opened a video in Divx player at the same time and I got an error message I believe it said the video driver had an error and restarted.
What this did is now when I go to change the screen resolution, to anything for example 800x600 you only see 800 pixels by 600 pixels of viewable screen (You see the entire screen just smaller), the rest is a black border around it. This isn't a problem for just browsing the internet since I run 1280x800 in general. However I play video games on my computer and all of my resolution settings for them at set to 800x600 because I'm running on a laptop with the standard integrated video card this way I don't have unbearable Frames per second. No matter what game It's shrunken down and leaves the large black border around the screen. I tried reinstalling the driver, I'm pretty sure it was the correct one...I went to the dell website and put in my service code so any drivers they listed should apply to my system specifically. I'm pretty computer literate but I cannot figure this out. System: Dell Inspiron 1525 Windows Vista Home Basic SP1 - 32 Bit Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2390 1.86GHz 3GB RAM Video: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family |
