Question AGP 8x 1.5v needed

Hi, this is the first question I am posting at these forums.

I have an ASUS a7n8x-x mobo with an AMD XP 3200+ CPU.

I need an AGP 8X 1.5V card to replace my ATI RADEON 9100.

I am looking on the low-end price wise first. It needs to work on Linux Ubuntu 8.10 seamlessly; I had a helluva time getting my ATI card to play nice with Linux. I guess ATI and Linux aren't the way to go.

I do not know what AGP versions are. What are they? I have studied a little on the AGP issues and read thru the stickies on top of this forum. I just upgraded my CPU to the max my mobo can handle and am not looking for the latest and the greatest video card necessarily. I need something better than what I have.

Also, is there a database somewhere that has values for many video cards? One that I can sort by AGP, voltage, brand etc.

Thank you.
Mark
