Hi. i recently bought new xfx geforce 9800gtx+, i'm trying to install it now and i can't find 2nd 6pin connector on it. is it in the same place as 1st connector? on the side closest to hdd bay? i was googling for pictures of it but got nothing. i would be happy if someone could post a picture of his xfx geforce 9800gtx+ where i can see side with 6pin connectors. thanks in advance.

Re: xfx geforce 9800gtx+ second 6pin connector

hm. thats cool when everywhere in manual and on the box you can see "connect 2x 6pin connectors" and you start to think that you are stupid idiot.
anyway, hellhound thank you very much for so quick reply and your help. but before i tryed to connect it with 1 pin connnected, turn on my pc, and i can hear fan of card spinning for a few seconds and then stops for a few seconds and again and again.. and monitor working in standby mode.

Re: xfx geforce 9800gtx+ second 6pin connector

Hi again, thanks for your replies. card model: GF 9800GTX 738M 512MB DDR3 DUAL DVI TV PCI-E and it looks completely different, not like on your pictures and has only one 6pin. Anyway, everything works fine with one 6pin connector. But!... :) That's xfx support's answer:
Quote:
[THOMAS 4/15/2009 5:37:08 PM] Hi, the card has two 6 pin power slots at the rear of the card. Both these power slots need to have power cables inserted for the card to work. Regards ~Tom.
Thanks for your help. :)

Re: xfx geforce 9800gtx+ second 6pin connector

The XFX model or part number will look similar to this> PVT98WYDFU.
They are, if it has 2 right next to each other on the back of the card, they may have changed the newer ones as stated by -at-hellhound above but I would think XFX support would be aware of it.
I would check the part number on the card to ensure you received the correct one.
