HP Pavilion zv5405us display problem

Hello,
My laptop was recently slammed shut and now the screen show black line across the screen. I replaced the screen but I still seem to have the same problem. I tried the external vga and that connection works just fine. The problems continues at boot of latop and eventually goes away after the pc has been running for a while. More info will be posted if needed. PLZ help.

what it looks like..... It also kills my battery super fast.
