3D not working?
I have this HP/Compaq Presario F500 Series Notebook (F558US) that has an onboard NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 integrated graphics card. I just recently got the computer sent and fixed and I had to reinstall Windows Vista and all the drivers and such, haven't upgraded to SP1.
And now I have trouble running games that worked before. I hear the sound going, but all I get is a grey or black screen. The game I was trying to run is Audition Online, and it really doesn't require a high-end computer or anything (although it isn't compatible with SP1, which is why I haven't installed that). And in the NVIDIA Control Panel, the 3D Image Preview doesn't display the green logo thing like it used to before I had the computer fixed. It just shows a blank blue or black screen, as the image below shows. http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/6451/nvidiac.jpg Any help would be appreciated. I've tried installing DirectX 9.0c and 10, as well as downloading the NVIDIA drivers from HP, then updating that from the available upgrade through Windows Update, even reinstalling a few times. But in each step, the result is always still the same and renders my attempts useless. |
