Re: Card Overheating

is the temps for the cpu or the gpu

for the gpu they would be normal

if they are for the cpu they are to high and you need to redo the paste on the cpu with some arctic silver

http://www.arcticsilver.com/arctic_s...structions.htm

did the v/card come with the computer or have you added it

Re: Card Overheating

Its the GPU and Its been added I just talked with a professional and he said the best thing was for another fan but if its normal than its fine Its just I use Hardware sensors monitor 4.4 to tell me the temperatures and I didn't know wast the regular range was for it but it seemed to high.

PS: Tell me what the regular temps are for the GPU?

Re: Card Overheating

They vary, some cards run hotter than others. For example, my 9800GT idles in the mid 60'sC. at default fan speed, I turn the fan up to 85% and get low 50's idle, and mid 70's with a 100% load on the gpu. Then the 8600GT I have in another machine idles in the 40's and around 60ish with 100% load. It's usually recommended to stay under 75C. but they're made to run hot, if need be. Yours are within spec, however cooler is always better for any component.

Re: Card Overheating

I use evga's precision program, very very easy to use. Lot of people go with riva tuner, but it's more complicated.
