GeForce FX5500 Black Screen
I had a 3.2 GHz Intel Celeron D. with 80.0 GB HDD. And 512 MB of RAM. After I installed the graphic card per instructions and hooking up the monitor. All I can get is a black screen.

Re: GeForce FX5500 Black Screen
Thank you Emosun for the help. My only problem now is I have no idea what you're talking about, or how to do it. But I deftly thank you for the information. Because it looks like I can do something about it. Without buying another card. Have a great day. Mac627.

Re: GeForce FX5500 Black Screen
When your computer firsts starts , before the windows loading screen there is a black screen that flashes by quickly , on this screen usually near the bottem it will say "to enter the bios press this key" , which is usually one of the "f" keys or the delete key. You press the key before windows loads and it will take you into the motherboard settings which are only controlled by the keyboard. From there you need to look around in it and find a setting which should change the video from using the onboard or agp slot , and change it to pci.
