I built a computer this week using ASUS P5Q Deluxe Mobo, intel Core 2 Duo E8500 CPU, 2GB Corsair DDR2 and a Ge force 9600GT GPU ( ESC).
Hve installed win Vista Home Deluxe and all mobo drivers and have upgrade BIOS to latest version. On trying to load drivers, both from disc and net, on reboot the sceen displays No Signal and remains black. Have to then get back into Safe Mode to system restore to get computer working again without NVIDIA Drivers. Have tried removig card from PCIe slot and reinserting to no avail. How do I fix this problem? |

Re: Ge Force 9600GT driver problem
Hello and welcome to TSF...
Try with different graphic card on your system or try your 9600GT on some other PC just to make sure if anything is wrong with your graphic card... Also tell us what make/model is your PSU??? Keep us posted... |

Re: Ge Force 9600GT driver problem
Unistall the drivers and remove the card.
- Turn off computer - Insert card - Go to bios and change the display options from the onboard to the PCI-e or whatever slot it is in. If that doesn't work just let us know. Also whats your PSU wattage? I assume its good seeing how you built a computer but you never know. |

Re: Ge Force 9600GT driver problem
Thanks for the suggestions which I tried without success. After much checking I have found and resolved the problem. In building the new computer I kept the old monitor (BENQ FP791) which does not have the specifications to run new card. A new monitor enabled the drivers to load'
